Dog Groomer - PT (could potentially lead to FT)

We are currently seeking an experienced Groomer to join our growing team! J.M. Pet Resort is a state-of-the-art facility. In addition to grooming, we provide doggie daycare, boarding, training and a retail store all under one roof. We have hundreds of loyal customers who have come to expect the very best for their canine companions.

In addition to providing professional styling and spa services, the Groomer will communicate directly with the client to ensure that each customer is delighted with the J.M. Pet Resort experience. Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy direct contact with the public.

 K-9 Group Lead FT & PT

This position works directly with the dogs supervising play groups. Staff is actively engaged with the dogs, managing group energy level, working on obedience commands and monitoring all of the dogs' activities. This is a very physical job. Group leaders must be quick on their feet and prepared to stand most of the time. Weather permitting, groups are held outdoors in all four seasons so be prepared to get plenty of fresh air and be ready to get dirty!

A K-9 Group Lead actively monitors dog play (but does not play with the dogs). It is essential to possess an assertive/confident manner AND a calm/relaxed disposition. We need an open mind, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn more about animal behavior. We will train the "right" individual, but you must possess basic dog handling skills and an understanding of K-9 play. Experience working with or owning large breed animals is a big plus.

This is not a job for everyone...but for the right person, it can be very rewarding, challenging and fun!

 Experienced Dog Trainer

J.M. Pet Resort seeks a motivated, talented individual to join our team! Responsibilities will include Private and Group Instruction (at the basic and intermediate levels), development of Training Improvement Plans (focused on Socialization techniques), and conducting client seminars on a variety of hot topics. The ideal candidate will be interested in full-time employment and will bring their reward-based training knowledge to our Playgroup Programs for Daycare and Boarding guests; this will involve a shared responsibility in directly monitoring indoor and outdoor Play activity. Management duties may be incorporated, including team building, staff oversight, and participation in management meetings.
